FOOD TO FASCINATE THE FATS AND THE FOLKS

We are not so acquainted with the fact how food has surpassed most of the factors required to complete the weddings. Food has been the biggest concern for most of the organisers lately . It has also become an aspect to judge an event. It attracts the guests and the visitors the most. If the food is good at a wedding then it is proclaimed good by everyone and appreciated too . It is noticed that people spend exorbitantly on the food section these days. Weddings are held in a regal way and the food offered to the guests are in great variety. Name a cuisine and you will have it in front you. Be it the moneyed class or the ones who do not have two pennies to rub together, everyone tries according to their budget. The variety is usually kept wide even if the quality of food is not that good . This is the case of poor. But in case of riches, both quality and variety are kept good. Now-a-days, many outlets like Dominos, Baskin Robbins have started tying up with the event organising firms to promote themselves and vice versa. This fascinates the guests a lot, specially the children. They don't get tired of appreciating the food even after a long long time. North Indian is a must in Indian weddings, it is the pick of the most. Most of the people feel incomplete without North Indian food. Similarly, many of us never miss having Chinese or Italian. So the host keeps in mind the choice of all and tends to keep a big menu in front of them which lands the guests in dilemma as what to choose and what not to choose. But a major drawback of this is the wastage of food. Being an Indian, we are brought up with a mindset that food is meant to be worshipped and should not be wasted. Now that we are grown ups, we don't think even once before wasting the food. We have forgotten our ethics, culture and values. So much of food gets wasted in the parties. This wastage should be minimised as even if the variety is kept wide, the quantity of the food can still be reduced. Even the food is in excess then it can be provided to those who crave it, who cannot afford a meal. Food is important in parties. It should be made available in accordance with the demand not the needs.
