CHANGING TIMES WITH CHANGING MUSIC

| Published on

Western music is becoming more voguish over any other music. In India, the classical music is seen to be getting replaced by the western one. People are more inclined towards this new vogue. As the new generation is coming, new music is also coming into the picture

In 90's, classical music and ghazals were a thing of the crowd . Zakir Hussain , Ravi Shankar, Bismillah Khan used to be people favourites. People used to love the music with classic and ancient touch. Programmes and events used to be there which included classical music, instrumental music and ghazals. The songs and the music was indeed beautiful. But now that the time has changed, Western music i.e. pop, edm, rave music and jazz has come into the picture. This is generally loved by the majority of the youth today. Now those musical programmes are replaced by concerts . Time has changed and so has the taste in music. But these music styles are unique in style too. They have their own speciality and has the power to attract the crowd. Now-a-days, Singers, djs and artists from all over the world come to India to perform and gain popularity among the mass. This creates a next level excitement and zeal in the youth. People are seen to be getting crazy over edms.  Even the restaurants and clubs have made these music their thing . This is because the majority of crowd loves this type of crowd only. People have a more liking towards English songs over Hindi ones. This is just an evolution which is good but it is sad that the old traditional music is losing its essence with changing crowd.
