People: Start eating less and skip your dinner.
Don't listen to such people. Eating less would never do good to your body, it would make you weak. Just know that you don't have to be weak but fit.
People generally ask you to skip your dinner in order to get into shape but I would say that please don't skip your meals . Just reduce your carbs intake (not very much) but don't reduce it to nil. Increase your protein intake , Eat more fruits and fibres.
Skipping your meals would do any good but slow down your metabolism. Once your metabolism slows down, you tend to gain faster and easily because your food takes more time to digest . If you're eating many times a day, your metabolism gets faster. To increase your metabolism rate, you need to eat after every 2 hours. It is not necessary that you eat proper meal after every 2 hours , you can simply eat fruits and boiled vegetables and eggs in between.
Also, green tea is an antioxidant and fastens your metabolism rate. You must have it at least once a day. Black coffee is preferable too.
You should quit tea as it causes blotting in your stomach and also slows down your metabolism.
Just be happy now because you need to eat more in order to get fit .
