Meaning of weddings and marriages is seen to be changing with time. With changes in the culture, food style, outfits and the trends, the way of the approach towards the wedding , the way of arranging the events and getting things done for the wedding are changing too.

Yes, its true . There were times when a marriage was just restricted to a party thrown by the family of the girl consisting of the food and the ceremony. There were times when Dowry was a practice. If the family of the bride failed to provide the dowry to the groom's family then the bride was made to suffer by the groom's family which was deplorable! If they failed to give dowry then the marriage was even cancelled and the family of bride would face a lot of disrespect. 

But the time has changed fortunately and is seen to be changing more. It is changing for good. Now girls are treated will full respect, her family is been treated with respect too. Marriage is not just a party but an event. Yes , the event which consists of many sub events . Food is kept in a wide variety. Performances are there by the artists and the family too. Dowry is more in practice. Things are getting better. Now both families i.e. the family of the groom and the family put equal efforts to make the wedding good. Music and dance have taken a major role in the weddings. The outfits of people are changing with time. People are getting inclined towards Indo western ethnic clothing. The style is changing. Destination wedding are becoming the major pick of majority of the people.
