It is sad that our much delicious Indian cuisine has remained so underrated. I am talking about the Gujrati food which is never seen in parties and weddings except the Gujrati weddings. Dhokla is one food item which has been very famous in every part of the country. But the other food items are not as much popular as they deserve to be.
I had never had an exposure to Gujrati food until I visited gujarat last year. Trust me the people are so helpful and polite there. The Gujrati culture is in its own very good. Also, the place is way too safe . The food that I had there was so cheap and delicious.
I had a dabeli which is similar to vada Pav but it was more spicy with pomegranate in it and it tasted like heaven. Vada Pav which costed just 20 bucks to me was another thing that I loved there. I had a plate of buttery Pav bhaji which indeed was so lip smackingly delicious. Khakra is another delicious dish. Khandavi is yet another thing to fall in love with.
The Gujrati food is indeed very amazing and should be given more importance. I mean they should be kept in the menu in the weddings and events. Dishes like khandavi , Khakra and all could be kept for starters and people would definitely love it . The change in menu would please many of the guests. Also, it could surpass some of the other dishes in the menu. People are generally sick of eating the same paneer and aloo dishes, adding these. Gujrati items to the menu could lead to a good menu.
