South Indian culture is very much fascinating and especially South Indian food. You're not a foodie if you haven't had South Indian food. Not everybody loves South Indian food, but those who love know its importance. Those who love it know how much satisfaction South Indian dishes give. My mornings start with a plate of uttapam and nariyal ki chutney followed by sambhar chawal in dinner.
South Indian food is indeed becoming famous in north India too. Not only in north India but in east and west India too. Why not ? the food tastes so amazing. Every South Indian dish that we eat is so lip smacking and palatable.
Here are some of the things about South Indian food you must know:
1.It is so light that you could eat a lot. You could fill all your stomach with it and you won't feel stuffed. Isn't it what everybody wants? The South Indian food is so light and gets digested easily.
2.It is never too spicy . Although, the amount of spices to be added can be controlled and also it is very delicious.
3.Not so oily. South Indian food requires less oil and is generally fat free (in my opinion). There are many people who find it heavy but I don't find it oily and unhealthy at all.
4.Has different variety . From uttapam too fried idlis and apple, everything is so different and amazing.
Also, our dal when replaced by sambhar and eaten with rice gives you the best feeling.
