These handsome hunks of Bollywood are surprising us with the news of their arranged marriage. After Shahid tied the knot with Mira Rajput in an arranged marriage setup, another B-town hottie announced his wedding and that too an arranged one!
I'm talking about the very handsome, Neil Nitin Mukesh. The actor announced the news of his marriage to a girl named Rukmini Sahay in October last year. The couple met through an arranged marriage set up by their parents. Neil thinks that there is nothing shocking about his arranged marriage.
“There’s nothing shocking about it. Sometimes we overlook things, which our parents don’t and it’s coming together of two families. And when you look into detailing, it makes more sense. It’s a strong foundation."
For the actor, choosing a life partner has got nothing to do with what his fans expect from him.
He further added...
“I love the idea of fans thinking about their actors to have a fairytale life, which is beautiful. But somewhere for me, I have made sure that I draw a line between my personal and professional life.”
The sangeet ceremony that took place on Wednesday evening, looked like it was a scene right out of a Sooraj Barjatya film. While Neil Nitin Mukesh and Rukmini Sahay dazzled under the spotlights in their glittering traditional ensembles, the stage was all set for a night of song and merriment as the guests took turns to serenade the couple with love songs. Actor Rishi Kapoor sang his popular track ‘Main Shayar Toh Nahi’, and even called the couple on stage to sing a verse with him.
The wedding... The royal wedding took place in Udaipur was followed by a star-studded reception in Mumbai.
The couple came in front of the shutterbugs and posed donning beautiful green royal attire designed by couturier designer Manav Gangwani. The two had tied the knot in a very intimate ceremony in the presence of close friends and family on February 9 in an extravagant three-day function.
An entire galaxy of Bollywood stars attended the grand reception of the newly-wed couple.
The ‘New York’ actor looked regal in a cream and maroon sherwani while the bride looked gorgeous dressed in an orange-tone silk lehenga replete with heavy gold jewelry. Both the attires were designed by Sarath Krishnan. He looked like a prince in the sherwani with intricate golden embroidery. His wedding trousseau was an authentic handicraft creation by Rajasthani craftsmen. Rukmini too was every bit the glowing bride.
Life has ups and downs. What we're supposed to do is to have faith in the process. Good things happen to the believers. Love as well.
